TIME GOES BY

ITA: TIME GOES BY presenta una riflessione sullo scorrere inesorabile del tempo come condizione connaturata alla vita umana. Attraverso una clessidra di vetro scorrono, in maniera quasi impercettibile, minuscoli granelli di sabbia grigia, che rappresentano il susseguirsi degli eventi. La stessa sembra essere sospesa e catturata in un'istantanea a-temporale e a-spaziale, che oltrepassa la dimensione stessa del tempo.
ENG: TIME GOES BY represents a reflection on the unavoidable flow of time as an inherent condition of the human life. Through an hourglass, tiny grains of grey sand roll down, in an almost imperceptible way, represent the subsequent events. It seems to be suspended in a snapshot without and beyond space and time.
DREAM OUT LOUD

ITA: DREAM OUT LOUD è un'opera che rappresenta un invito a dar voce e espressione ai propri sogni e talenti. Sulla linea di orizzonte si delinea un caleidoscopio di colori: arcobaleno, alba e tramonto si fondono nella rappresentazione delle diverse fasi della vita.
Sognare rappresenta un processo vitale dinamico, come la scintilla capace di attivare il motore dell'azione.
ENG: DREAM OUT LOUD is an artwork considered a real invitation to give voice and free expression to your dreams and talents. Over the horizon a kaleidoscope of colors paint rainbow, dawn and sunset in an essential representation of the different phases of life.
Dreaming is a dynamic vital process, the spark which boosts the engine of action.
LOVE IS ALCHEMY

ITA: LOVE IS ALCHEMY riproduce due figure stilizzate il cui punto di unione è un cuore rosso. L'immagine è semplice, equilibrata e compatta. Appare invece poco chiara la parola Alchemy, che disturba l'armonia delle due figure per mano.
ENG: LOVE IS ALCHEMY depicts two stylized figures where a big red heart is their touchpoint.
The composition is simple, balanced and compact. The word Alchemy is not clear and it seems to disturb the harmony of the two figures by the hand.
ICE CREAM

ITA: ICE CREAM raffigura un enorme cono gelato al cui estremo è collocato il pianeta Terra.
Nonostante sia isolato sulla tela, anche il dipinto sembra soffrire gli effetti del pervasivo cambiamento climatico. Le stesse lettere si stanno rapidamente sciogliendo lasciando un senso di immediata urgenza all'azione.
ENG: ICE CREAM portrays a huge ice cream cone with the planet Earth on the top.
Although isolated on the canvas the painting seems to suffer from the pervasive effects of the global warming.
The letters are melting fast leaving an immediate sense of urgency.
FREEDOM IN PRISON

ITA: FREEDOM IN PRISON rappresenta un ritratto della libertà concepita alla stregua di un codice a barre.
La precisa e determinata identificazione assegnata, attraverso un codice univoco, alla libertà trasforma le barre in sbarre di una prigione al cui interno perfino la libertà stessa rimane intrappolata.
Il messaggio dell’opera è un’esplicita critica alla mercificazione di tutto ciò che circonda l’uomo.
ENG: FREEDOM IN PRISON is a portrait of freedom perceived as a barcode. The accurate identification of the freedom, through a unique cipher, transforms the bars of the code into the bars of a jail where the freedom itself is imprisoned.
The message of the artwork is an explicit critic to the commodification of everything that surrounds humanity.
BLACK and WHITE

ITA: BLACK and WHITE esplora il tema della relazione tra il sé e l’altro. Il muro, centralmente disposto, diviene la costruzione artificiale che legittima la separazione dall'altro e lo confina al di là di una pila di mattoni. Oltre la fascia mediana si estendono le due etichette bianco (WHITE) e nero (BLACK), svuotate di significato e deprivate di identità.
ENG: BLACK and WHITE explores the relationship between the Self and the Other. The wall becomes the artificial structure, which legitimizes the separation from the Other and confines it over the pile of bricks. Over the central band the labels BLACK and WHITE are empty of meaning and deprived of their identity.
CHANGE PERSPECTIVE

ITA: CHANGE PERSPECTIVE rappresenta un cubo di Rubik sospeso in una disputa tra due litiganti immaginari. Ogni contendente lotta in modo ostinato per soverchiare il parere dell'altro e vincere la fantomatica causa. Un passaggio fondamentale è segnato dalla possibilità di ammettere infinite soluzioni al rompicapo, dissolvendo la dualità "ho ragione-non ho ragione".
ENG: CHANGE PERSPECTIVE shows a Rubik’s cube suspended in a dispute between two imaginary litigants, who fight hard to monopolize the debate and to win the elusive case. The fundamental step is marked by the possibility to admit infinite solutions to the puzzle, over the duality “I’m right - I’m not right”.
PROMISCUITY

ITA: PROMISCUITY rappresenta una riflessione sull'identità sessuale. L'opera costruisce nuovi simboli e gioca un passaggio generativo per sviluppare relazionalmente e biologicamente nuove possibilità di contatto con l'altro. La fluidità conduce alla sperimentazione e alla costruzione contemporanea di maggiore libertà di espressione consapevole.
ENG: PROMISCUITY represents a reflection on sexual identity. The artwork builds new symbols and it plays a generative step to develop new relational and biological possibilities to the contact with the Other.
Fluidity leads to the experimentation and to a deeper awareness in the expression of freedom.
NO SIGNAL

ITA: NO SIGNAL raffigura un televisore acceso in assenza di sintonizzazione. L'opera riflette sulla relazione tra espressione individuale e espressione sociale. La connessione tra la persona e la sua essenza più profonda è sintetizzata dalla frase che compare sul monitor: NO SIGNAL.
ENG: NO SIGNAL portrays a television on without tuning. The artwork reflects on the relationship between individual and social expression. The connection between the person and his/her deep essence is summarized from the sentence written on the monitor: NO SIGNAL.
LIFE: ONE WAY

ITA: LIFE: ONE WAY nasce come una riflessione sulla complessità del viaggio. Il cartello stradale a sfondo blu con freccia bianca indica una direzione obbligata di percorrenza. Il tema stesso del viaggio pone di fronte all'imprevisto, a deviazioni inaspettate e scoperte inattese.
ENG: LIFE: ONE WAY is a consideration on the complexity of the journey. The blue background and the white arrow on the signal indicate a forced direction. The voyage deals also with the unexpected, the possibility to explore unforeseen detours and revolutionary discoveries.

ITA: LIVING ON A DREAM disegna un aquilone colorato che volteggia disinvolto nel limpido cielo azzurro. L’atmosfera della rappresentazione è caratterizzata da lucenti colori conferiscono solidità e leggerezza all'aquilone. La composizione serena e spensierata si gioca tra il prolungamento dell’arto di un bambino sognatore e il cielo terso che caratterizza lo sfondo.
ENG: LIVING ON A DREAM draws a colorful kite, which is twirling breezy in the limpid blue sky.
The atmosphere is characterized from colors, which provide lightness and solidity to the kite free in the air. The peaceful and light hearted composition goes from the kite, a child dreamer arm extension, to the terse blue sky in the background.

ITA: FATE IS FAIR riflette sull'impatto di eventi inaspettati nella di vita di una persona.
I soggetti principali della composizione sono i due dadi rossi disposti su un asettico sfondo grigio, che richiamano la casualità della sorte.
Sebbene appoggiati sopra una superficie, essi mantengono una dimensione impalpabile senza un reale piano di appoggio.
ENG: FATE IS FAIR reflects on the impact of unexpected events during the life.
The main entities of the composition are two red dice on an aseptic grey background, which recalls the randomness of the fate.
Although the dice are on a surface, they keep an impalpable dimension without a real support.
UNLOCK YOUR EMOTIONS

ITA: UNLOCK YOUR EMOTIONS raffigura un volantino propagandistico contro l'eccessiva regolazione emozionale.
Il lucchetto aperto si fonde con le lettere coadiuvando in modo chiaro ed esplicito il messaggio dell’opera. Sullo sfondo vengono rappresentate delle catene spezzate simbolo della censura emozionale.
ENG: UNLOCK YOUR EMOTIONS portrays a propagandistic leaflet against the excessive emotional regulation.
The open locker merges with the letters supporting the clear and explicit message of the artwork. In the background some broken chains symbolize the emotional censorship.
IT HURTS

ITA: IT HURTS costruisce sulla tela una ferita netta, profonda e trasversale. Chirurgica recisione mirata che squarcia un cuore innamorato. Il sangue zampilla e schizza sulla tela che diviene teatro macabro di una dolorosa ferita.
ENG: IT HURTS brings on the canvas a marked, deep and transversal wound.
It’s a surgical severing that slashes an in love hearth.
The blood springs up and splashes on the canvas that becomes a macabre representation of a painful wound.
SADNESS: 50% OFF

ITA: SADNESS 50% OFF raffigura due etichette per vestiti su cui compare la scritta promozionale tipica della merce in saldo. Le etichette sono caratterizzate da un'assenza di colori che accentuano il contrasto con quelle utilizzate nel mondo dell'advertising. La carta trasparente cade anonima sullo sfondo rafforzando il senso di deprivazione cromatica associato alla tristezza, rappresentata da due fiumi paralleli di lacrime azzurre.
ENG: SADNESS 50% OFF presents two labels for clothes with a typical writing of the goods in sale.
The labels are characterized from a lack of colors that enhance the contrast with the ones of the advertisement. The transparent cardboard falls anonymously on the background reinforcing the sense of chromatic deprivation associated to the sadness with two rivers of blue tears.
EAT FAST TASTE LESS

ITA: EAT FAST, TASTE LESS raffigura un invitante hamburger, accompagnato da un messaggio che compone un gioco linguistico allitterante, al centro di un cartellone pubblicitario.
L'iconica hamburger del fast food, da consumare rapidamente nella frenetica attività quotidiana stride con la piacevolezza e il gusto del pasto stesso.
ENG: EAT FAST, TASTE LESS reproduces a tasty hamburger supported from a message, which creates an alliteration through a linguistic device, on the middle of a billboard. The iconic fast food hamburger you can have in your frenetic daily routines is in contrast with the delicious taste of the meal itself.
ALONE.

ITA: ALONE rappresenta con una composizione essenziale e scarna il tema della solitudine.
Sulla tela completamente bianca emerge un unico drip nero che si sdoppia in uno sbaffo centrale.
La scritta accompagna la macchia di colore come un silenzioso grido di rassegnazione che si dipana attraverso la tela.
ENG: ALONE represents a bare and essential composition of loneliness.
On the white immaculate canvas emerges a black drip with a double smudge in the middle. The writing follows the colored spot as a silenced scream of resignation through the canvas.
DISRUPTIVE BLACKOUT

ITA: DISRUPTIVE BLACKOUT raffigura un fulmine giallo che si scaglia su di un notturno sfondo nero.
L'opera fonde e rappresenta due momenti distinti: la caduta della saetta e il blackout che ne consegue.
La scarica elettrica colpisce e altera con veemenza la situazione preesistente, confinando in un disorientante buio l'area colpita.
ENG: DISRUPTIVE BLACKOUT depicts a yellow lightning that suddenly hits a dark background.
The artwork represents two different moments: the instant of the flash and the following blackout.
The electric discharge strikes and affects with vehemence the area leaving it in a disorienting dark.
SERENDIPITY AT WORK

ITA: SERENDIPITY AT WORK ritrae la serendipità come uno spazio di lavori in corso. Nel cantiere aperto, sullo sfondo color asfalto si susseguono polvere, orme di scarpe da lavoro e un cartello stradale con un uomo circondato da farfalle variopinte.
ENG: SERENDIPITY AT WORK portrays serendipity as a work in progress space. In the open yard, the asphalt background is a succession of footsteps, dust and a street signal with a man surrounded from colored butterflies.
